Pick salami

Who would not start salivating just at the thought of getting a huge bite of this national delicacy? The Hungarian meat manufacturer has been a significant player in the European market for over 150 years, competing head-to-head with the Italian Soppressata di Calabria or the Croatian Baranjski kulen.

Nanushka

Bring out the modern bohemian in you by dressing up in an iconic Nanoushka creation. Based in Budapest, the contemporary label is well-known for its must-have wardrobe staples featuring unexpected details. Zsolnay porcelain

The ultimate way to give class to your home is by decorating it with Zsolnay’s timeless creations. The Hungarian brand was established in 1853 and soon became the single most important ceramics factory in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy before conquering the entire world. 

Tokaji wine

Tokaji is high on every wine connoisseur’s list of the most recommended styles. The sweet and sophisticated Hungarian white wine was first mentioned in 16-century medieval manuscripts and it was enjoyed even by Louis XV who used to serve Tokaji to his famous mistress – Madame Pompadour.

The Hungarian video and visual communications software company was founded in 2009 and ever since it has been making both students’ and professionals’ lives significantly easier. The company’s easy-to-use graphic design tools let anyone create and share dynamic designs and data visualizations.

Zwack Unicum

This brandy-based, bitter herbal liqueur was created in 1790 and it uses 40 different plants and spices. The clever Hungarian brand is aged in oat casks and has an alcohol content of 40 percent. It is said that the liqueur was first aimed to cure Joseph II, Habsburg ruler’s digestion problems. 

Rubik’s brand

No matter which far-fetched corner of the world you find yourself at, chances are you will come across this colourful 3-D combination puzzle. Ernő Rubik originally developed his invention, which was initially called the Magic Cube, for teaching purposes; he wanted to introduce the spatial movement of bodies to his university students.

Wizz Air

The controversial Hungarian airline has been making headlines for various scandals and misconducts lately. However, as they say: no press is bad press. Wizz Air has a good chance to become the best in its league as it was shortlisted in the best airline category at the Routes Awards 2022 in Las Vegas.
